Animotions 1.0.11 — Resource-pack fixes and UltimateUI 1.4.2

This update fixes resource-pack rejection and rendering problems when Animotions and UltimateUI are used together. It also extends the pack’s client coverage to Minecraft 1.21.4–26.3, adds separate held-item definitions for each version range, and supports UltimateUI 1.4.2 alongside earlier versions.

Fixed

  • Rejected resource packs: composed fragment shaders now put #version first. A comment appearing before it had broken two required item-rendering pipelines.
  • Black panels and broken hotbars: resolved the 16,384-wide position-band collision between Animotions’ first-person head hiding and UltimateUI’s HUD clipping, including the incorrect fog, lighting and head-hide behavior it caused.
  • HUD player skins: preserved UltimateUI’s skin UV remapping when composing fragment shaders, so HUD player models use the correct skin layout.
  • Clipping and scrolling: UltimateUI 1.4.2’s per-element clipping and scrolled items now work. This closes the limitation previously documented in Dev29.
  • Dark world models: corrected lightmap tags being read as lighting values, which made world-space player models appear almost black.
  • Fog on the HUD: HUD elements no longer pick up world fog.
  • Startup parsing: repaired the invalid animotions:hidden armor-hide asset that caused a parse error during startup.
  • ItemsAdder warnings: removed 66 unreferenced-model warnings by keeping version-specific item definitions out of the shared pack.

Updating

Update Animotions and UltimateUI together. This shader work was matched to UltimateUI 1.4.2. Earlier UltimateUI versions remain supported, but use the paired update when moving to this release.

Stop the server, replace the old plugin with Animotions.jar, update UltimateUI, and restart. Keep the existing Animotions data folder and configuration. No configuration changes are needed; the resource pack rebuilds automatically on startup. Allow the build and your normal pack-hosting process to finish, then reconnect and accept the updated pack.

The 1.21.4–26.3 range refers to resource-pack client support. The plugin still declares a Paper API baseline of 1.21.5; use a supported server setup.

Dev29’s recovery commands remain optional troubleshooting tools. They temporarily disable Animotions when applied and are not part of a normal upgrade to 1.0.11. For this update, replace the JAR and let the startup rebuild finish.
