Personas 1.0.5

Version 1.0.5

1.0.5 Update Log

Names & Text

  • Added a MiniMessage renderer (full MiniMessage tags, with legacy & and

&#RRGGBB fallback)

  • NPC names now render MiniMessage on both armor-stand and packet NPCs

instead of showing the raw tags

Loop / Timer Emotes

  • Emote actions can now loop or run on a timer, per NPC:

/personas emote add <trigger> <emote> [loop | once <seconds>]
/personas action add <trigger> emote <emote> [loop | once <seconds>]

  • Modes parsed from the emote value (bow / bow loop / bow once 10) and

stored in the value, so there's no data or schema change

  • Tab-completion for loop/once and example seconds on both command paths
  • Loop emotes now play natively through Animotions, so the emote animates

continuously and never despawns/respawns between cycles — no flicker on
re-trigger. Falls back to one-shot when the looping API isn't present

  • The NPC body is held hidden for the whole loop so it can't flicker back

in between cycles, and is restored when the loop ends

Look-At

  • Per-viewer look: each in-range player is sent their own rotation, so

everyone standing around an NPC sees it facing them at the same time

  • NPCs face in-range players every tick for a smooth, continuous follow

as players move (no snapping); the look task picks who to track,
per-viewer facing is applied from there

  • Emotes now face a player too — the NPC keeps its facing on the nearest

in-range player while emoting (an emote actor is shared, so it can't
face everyone individually)

  • Players who walk out of range are reset to the NPC's home facing
  • Nametag now stays visible during emotes (was inconsistent before)

Fixes

  • Fixed loop/timer emotes barely firing: an elapsed-time overflow meant a

freshly added loop/timer never met its fire condition. Now uses a proper
first-fire check, plus a loop keep-alive so a loop can't stall

  • Idle emotes are staggered over a short window so a row of NPCs no longer

all play their idle on the same tick

Notes

  • Seamless loops require Animotions to be updated too (it provides the

native looping API). With an older Animotions build, loops still work but
fall back to the re-trigger behaviour.

Make sure you do get the new version of Animtions 1.0.7 so it works smoothly with Personas.

Thank you once again.
